Preventing and Responding to Sexual Violence in the NSW Contemporary Live Music Industry
Safety Centre Stage is an initiative led by Full Stop Australia and supported by Sound NSW with a focus on preventing and responding to gender-based violence, sexual harassment and related workplace harms in the NSW contemporary live music industry.
The initiative is proudly funded by the NSW Government through Sound NSW.
Why the contemporary live music industry?
The NSW contemporary live music industry is a diverse ecosystem of creative expression and social connection and a powerful contributor to the state’s economy and workforces. It is well established that, like other industries, the contemporary live music industry faces ongoing challenges around safety, gender equity and cultures that can normalise or condone harm.
What will the project involve?
Full Stop Australia will be creating a practical resource toolkit offering industry specific guidance for the contemporary live music industry in NSW, guided by an Industry Reference Group.
Full Stop Australia will also be delivering Empowering Safe Workplaces: Leadership Strategies for Addressing and Preventing Sexual Harassment workshops to industry and community leaders across NSW.

Full Stop Australia and Sound NSW are seeking individuals passionate about safety and harm reduction for an Industry Reference Group to provide regular and direct feedback and evaluation from the inception of resource development, and other project deliverables within the Safety Centre Stage Initiative.
