This workshop provides staff with an overview of the latest in prevention best practice and an overview of the Sex & Ethics framework.
Sex, Safety & Respect: ethical leadership to prevent sexual violence in universities reflects the latest refinements of the Sex & Ethics program and sexual violence prevention education specifically targeting university contexts.
It incorporates findings from research and training we have conducted within universities and other settings and locates it within best practice international research.
This four-hour workshop is for university staff working in student housing, senior academic staff, and academic and professional staff from other key departments in the university.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Gain an overview of the latest best practice violence prevention research
- Develop leadership skills around creating zero tolerance of sexual and other forms of gendered violence in universities
- Take part in several activities from the Sex, Safety and Respect training program for students
